School Day Visits

WHAT DO WE DO?
A typical day consists of a walk around our nature trail (taking up to 2 hours) followed by lunch on the grass or indoors if wet, and dyke dipping in the afternoon (all equipment provided). Other activities are possible. School groups are welcomed by one of our two teaching assistants who will introduce the visit to the children and lead the day's activities. Many schools use the experience as a stimulus for creative follow-up work. Our activities are planned with the National Curriculum firmly in mind.
We advise you to book well in advance as we are a very popular venue.

HOW MANY CAN WE BRING?
How Hill is ideally suited for groups of about 40 children. Groups much larger than 40 can become unmanageable, but we will always try to accommodate well organised groups of any size.

HOW MUCH?
Please telephone for the current price.

FOR ALL VISITS: One free staff / adult helper place for every six pupils - other adults will be charged as pupils. Payment is required on the day of the visit (a receipt will be provided). The children may purchase souvenirs and postcards if they wish.

HOW DO WE BOOK?
Advance booking is absolutely ESSENTIAL. Telephone enquiries are advised (have a selection of dates ready to avoid disappointment). Letters of confirmation are required, please.
